January 2010 – Harmony of the Othar Saga Update
The print version of Heart of Hauden, Book One in the Harmony of the Othar Saga, is going through the final quality checks at press, and it should become available this month on Amazon and Barnes and Noble. The marketing for the Ebook versions of this continues, soon to be augmented for the print version once its availability is firm.
I have begun the final edits on Book Two, Animus of Hauden, in preparation for release sometime in the second half of 2010. I have also begun working on the website material to support the release.
Progress on Book Three, Tongue of Hauden, continues, with the first draft roughly two-thirds completed. I have begun working the ending in more detail as my thoughts have moved to the transition from book three to book four.
Juggling the above three tasks has proven to be a challenge, and I am slowly starting to manage my time better. I do not know how other authors approach these divergent tasks, but it has always been important to me to continue writing new content. I suspect like most writers, my passion is for task number three, and I have done my best to keep writing while tackling the more tedious task of final edits and marketing the finished Book One. I think doing all three regularly and successfully is simply a matter of discipline, and that over time I will learn to use my time wisely and effectively. Time will tell, of course, and we’ll see how the month of January plays out.
