March 2010 – Harmony of the Othar Saga Update

Well after being too busy to take care of some modest rewrites on the Prologue for Animus of Hauden, I had one of those “ah, that will be perfect there” moments when I was running through some scenes in Book Three – see, procrastination sometimes does pay off, not that I recommend it as a general rule.  When this happens, I often wonder what I would have added to the Prologue had I gotten to it earlier.  Likewise, what other scenes are lurking in the future that I may or may not ever uncover.  It is this revealing of the unknown that always amazes me as I write.  No matter how well I think I have a scene organized and plotted, there are always portions that sprout and grow as they are watered by the actual detail of penning them.  It’s uncanny, and if I had to point to the one thing that keeps me writing, it would be this release of the subconscious detail hiding among the words I am currently crafting.  Not sure this makes any sense as it is something that has to be experienced to be fully understood, and even then, it is hard for me to grasp and describe this phenomenon.

So, with the changes to the Prologue and Chapter 1 in Animus of Hauden solidified, I am on track to complete the final edits by the end of the month.  I hope to have excerpts soon!
